At the 60nm… At the 45nm! At the 28nm?!?
June 22nd, 2009 by Alex
So the race to shrink computer chips seems to be speeding up. Intel seems to have cancelled the 45nm (nano meters) chipset due to release this year but is instead, going to 32nm (AKA Clarkdale) in early 2010. Toshiba, on the other hand, is teaming up with others to get to 28nm. This is just good news for us, a tech race is a good one. The smaller the chip, the less power; faster, bigger chips get with combined power of more tiny chips in a matrix of awesomeness (that’s a scientific term by the way).

Man, made me make a full profile just to comment. I’m hating on y’all!
But yeah, gotta love how much power this’ll let us have. I remember buying 2×2 GB RAM sticks to upgrade the eventual Macbook Pro I’ll be getting, and now that’s standard. wtf! Ha!
